Blog - Portraiture Photographic Sessions

I recently had the pleasure of photographing this gorgeous family.  Miss H and Miss S are twins, and they are just the most delightful little people – not to mention great in front of the camera!  I feel privileged to have witnessed such a wonderful relationship between father and daughters. Thanks for making my job so easy!!

So joyous photos! The father and daughters had a very wonderful day.The photographer successfully capture their fun in these photos.Brilliant captured.

Tis the season to be doing couple shoots.  Too bloody hot for weddings and even outdoor portraits, but pretty good for late afternoon couple sessions.  Kate and Brad met me at Roma Street Parklands so that we could talk about what to expect on the wedding day.  These two are naturals!!!!  So in love, with such great body language.  The session flew by with Kate and Brad eager to do whatever I asked of them.  We are going to have such a great time on the wedding day.  Thanks Kate and Brad – I am looking forward to it.

It’s great to see Tom and Lacey featured in The Knot!

Lacey & Thomas: A Black & White Polka Dot Wedding in New Farm, QLD

Lacey and Thomas grew up in the same town, knew the same people and went to the same schools, but met for the first time through online dating service, RSVP.

The bride: Lacey Palmer, 30, financial accountant
The groom: Thomas Webb, 32, purchasing officer
The date: 12 June

Rather than the typical big proposal, Thomas asked Lacey how she felt about getting married on the Queen’s birthday long weekend on the drive to her mother’s 50th birthday party. “Not the big romantic proposal some girls want, but totally my style and showed how well Tom knows me.”

So, I spent a Sunday afternoon with Lauren and Corey in down town New Farm.  So many funky places to shoot, and such a funky couple to shoot.  The wedding day is going to involve a helicopter.  You would know by now that I do not travel all that well.  The ferry ride to Moreton Island last October saw me with a lovely green tinge around my gills.  Corey has decided that he wants to make me throw up on the helicopter!!!  Joy!!…..not sure how well he has thought this through, as I am not terribly productive after I have thrown up.

Will keep you posted.  This was such a fun afternoon – I can’t wait to get back down there.  See you guys when you get back from Melbourne. Suz x

Really cool photographs. Will be calling you re our wedding.

There is this little place at Milton in Brisbane that I have been wanting to shoot at for ages.  It is a little alley way and it feels like you are in Italy or France.  Tash, Paul and I met at this location, only to discover that it had gone under in the floods!!!!  It had totally slipped my mind.  The clean up was still going on, and once again it bought back the awful feelings of how much these poor people have been subjected to……….

On a brighter note, there is another location at South Brisbane that I have wanted to shoot at for a long time, so we headed there.  As usual, one member of the couple is happier to have their photo taken than the other.  Tash was the shy one, and Paul managed to have both of us in fits of laughter through the whole session.  The wedding day is going to be a scream!!  I am looking forward to it.
